Localization
Localization adapts a product for a specific country or region, not just its language. We localize software, menu strings and websites into Arabic, and work with HTML, Word, RTF, plain text and most word processing and DTP formats.
We use common localization tools including Trados, Wordfast, Déjà Vu, Catalyst and Adobe FrameMaker, and can handle file types such as Java, PHP, Python, HTML, XML and content management systems.
Proofreading and editing
We proofread and edit Arabic and English translations, whether we did the translation or not. When the material is highly specialized, we bring in a subject expert to make sure the final text is correct.
We can edit in almost any format: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, XML, HTML, InDesign exports and CAT tool files.
Transcription
We transcribe Arabic and English audio and video recordings, such as interviews, meetings and evidence recordings, with careful attention to detail, spelling and terminology. Transcripts can also be translated.
Arabic typesetting and DTP
Arabic text runs right to left and needs its own fonts and layout. We produce print-ready Arabic versions of brochures, manuals and reports, on Mac and Windows, for small and large projects.
Transcreation and copywriting
Slogans and marketing copy often lose their impact when translated word for word. We rewrite taglines and campaigns so they work for Arabic-speaking audiences, and can help test new brand or product names in Arabic.
Outsourcing
Hiring full-time in-house translators can strain a budget. We can provide translators, editors or interpreters with experience in your field, for a single project or a set period.
